I might have found out how to organically grow your brand on Facebook by accident. (Not Clickbait.)

(...and also the importance of having friends who care...*sad emojis*)

I know, I know, I know... Facebook may feel a little like on the way of the Dodo. But we still don't know when that's going to happen. I personally know someone who just managed to set up his business and let it grow in a short amount of time during the pandemic using Facebook. So, you'll never know. I would say it's still worth a shot... So a few weeks back, as a lead up to my latest album release I started to make some comic panels for my Instagram. By this point, we all know how easy Instagram works and how easy to reach out at some capacity. (Just keep posting with tags. You will reach out, trust me on this...) I decided to use the same posts I used, using the same tag strategy from Instagram for my Facebook page so it becomes a bit more active. Results were of course disappointing... here are some images for context:

So here's an instagram post for one pic...

...and here's the Instagram insight for that image.

Now we will look at the same image posted on Facebook...

In terms of reach, Facebook does not seem to be looking too hot... But something weird happened...

This image I posted on Instagram, using almost the same tag strategy...

Yielded some really decent results. Maybe the time of day it was posted may have factored in...
A little more closer look at the insights...

Nooow... Let's take a look at the same image on Facebook...

Check out the Reach!

What's the difference you ask? Well... There's "1 Share" and it has "93 People Reached."

A friend of mine, who has been following the page, who's also the bestest bud I have in the whole wide world, decided to share the post on his wall, and it probably made it reach out to some folks on his network...

Sooo... in conclusion, boosting a post is not the only option to grow yourself on Facebook. Now Imagine you have 10 friends you can rely on and have enough faith in what you do that they are willing to share your work on their walls/page... how many people will that reach out to? But, you also have that option to turn your Facebook page to just post viral memes... there's always that. And again... if you don't have friends... That's an entirely different discussion.

I write these kind blog posts just so I can share what I find out about digital marketing while doing this. I hope you find them informative and useful.
